Saturdays in Seattle

Hello my lovely blogger friends! I know, I know; I have been horribly absent from blogging lately, & I'm truly sorry for my lack of posts! Just so you know, there have been serious issues/changes happening in my personal life and I have really needed to focus on my family and myself, which I am sure we can all relate to at times. That being said, I have missed staying up to date with all of the blogs I read, and with writing as well! To get back into the swing of things, I wanted to share with you all my trip to Seattle this past Saturday.

My sister & I were in need of an escape from our home town, we simply wanted to get away and spend some time just having FUN. We decided it was time to get our rear ends into the city, go to the zoo, and do some shopping. I must say, it was much needed, and very much so enjoyed!

We of course went to the Woodland Park Zoo and all in all it was an amazing day to see the animals. They were all pretty full of life and mobile that day so we got to see lots of fun things. Here's a few pictures I'd like to share...

I highly recommend that if you're ever doing any shopping in Seattle you check out University Village. We live about an hour outside the city, and it really is the closest place for decent shopping. We stopped by some really cool stores, such as Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Lululemon Athletica, Barnes & Noble, TheNorthFace, the Apple Store, Crate & Barrel, Storables, and of course Sephora, not to mention a few other really neat and fun places.

I have never actually been into a Sephora store, I tend to do most of my shopping online as shipping costs are lower than gas prices, but my sister was in need of a good foundation and that's something that you want to make sure you get the proper shade in. All in all, it was an extremely fun experience. I don't think we've spoiled ourselves like that quite possibly ever, so it really felt great to get away and just have fun for the day. Here's a couple of the things I am most excited about that I picked up while we were shopping...

A book from B&N that looks like a promising read: Shine by Lauren Myracle.
I also snagged 2 Tarte Lip Tints, the colors I chose were Charmed & Peaceful.
I caved & picked up the NARS Orgasm & Laguna combo.
And I finally bought my first yoga mat, I saw this one at lululemon & I had to have it!

Anyways, I hope to be able to say that I am back into the swing of things with blogging and I hope you've all been doing great lately!

Much Love,
Heather Lee

Favorite Sandals & Nail Polish For Spring!

Click Here For Sandals Direct Link

It's been so nice out in Washington this last week, which if you're from here or have been here, you know it's a real treat. I have been spending so much time outside, and not really trying any new makeup products, so I decided I'd share my favorite sandals and polish combo! I got these Mossimo Sandals at Target, they run  for $14.99 but randomly go on sale so keep a look out! I got mine for $12.99. Also, the polish I'm loving on my toes right now is "For Audrey" by China Glaze. I love looking down and seeing the blue and the silver together. Such a fun, casual look, and yet if you want to go out to dinner you will still look put together without having to put stuffy shoes on! Hope you've all been enjoying the weather where you live as well!

Much Love,
Heather Lee

Simple Eye Using The UD Naked Palette

Today I thought I'd share my simple, easy to wear, every day eye.

Products Used

Urban Decay Naked Palette:
- Half Baked ( all over the lid )
- Smog ( outer corner/crease area )
- Virgin ( highlight under my brow bone )

Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black

Covergirl LashBlastVolume Mascara

I only used one brush, a fluffy blending brush from Sonia Kashuk.

I like to wear this look to work, and if I feel like going out afterward, I'll add a waterproof eyeliner to my water line before doing so to make it more of a dramatic look.

Hope this was helpful for finding a quick, easy wearing eye. :)

Much Love,
Heather Lee

New Obsession: Humanity Bracelets

My latest obsession is a bit behind the times, but if you haven't looked into the Humanity bracelets, I don't think there will ever be a "too late" time to do so.

I have been contemplating paying somewhere between $20 and $30 for one of these for a while now, but I just wasn't sure how they would fit and look on me. I found them on Buckle's website, but seeing as how the nearest Buckle is about 40 minutes from my house, I don't tend to get there very often.

My boyfriend and I finally needed to make the trek out of town on Monday & I knew I couldn't put off going in and checking them out anymore. Needless to say, I'm in love. There are all different types and colors, different sayings, but they all say things like "Pave The Path", "Make A Difference", "Speak Kindness", "Accept Love", & many more inspirational and insightful sayings. I knew I had to get one, but I didn't want to buy too many at once, so my boyfriend picked out a metallic blue one with some rhinestones on it, and that's the one I bought. I do plan to get more, I just didn't want to spend too much money all at once.

I think the price is worth it, seeing as how they are inspirational, and they do inspire thought and reflection. I say, even if you don't shop at Buckle, stop in and check them out. You may just like what you find.

There are different types. Some thick banded, some thin banded, some that wrap around just once and some that wrap around multiple times. They are considered unisex, and I believe they look good on everyone.

The part that makes me sad is that their website won't seem to load. I don't know what that's all about, but it was engraved on the inside of the bracelet. If it loads for you, great. If not, they are still a very unique and quality item that I believe is worth having.

Here is the link to their website: www.humanityforall.com

Hope you all enjoyed hearing about these, and maybe they are something that will interest you. :)

Much Love,
Heather Lee
